We reinterpret the phrase “Go to hell,” usually an insult, as “take a trip to hell,” turning its negativity into humor. This idea comes from noticing how modern views of hell have shifted—from moral warnings to descriptive slang, or to staged “hellscapes” in tourist sites like Madou Daitian Temple or Nantian Temple in Changhua. From this, we created Hell Like Go to Hell. The work imagines a contemporary hell, starting in reality, moving through warped spaces, and finally plunging into a virtual cycle of reincarnation.

Go to hell 的英文翻譯是去死、下地獄去的意思，我們刻意將其曲解為「去地獄走一遭」，以詼諧的態度轉化對地獄的負面想像。其因是觀察到當今社會對地獄一詞的想像，儼然由勸人向善，轉變為對事件的形容詞，或如台南的代天府或彰化的南天宮中，如觀光景點般的地獄造景，我們因而發想出地獄像GO TO HELL 這個名稱。作品呈現對當今地獄的想像，從現實出發，通過逐漸扭曲的空間，最終穿越並墮入虛擬的輪迴地獄 。
