A Trust Play
A Trust Play is a live reading experiment by Fang-Yi Cheng. Five strangers are brought together through verbal agreement. Each participant receives only a fragment of a short text written in advance, without knowing the full content. On the day of the performance, the artist invites five visitors to read their parts aloud in public. Only in that moment does the full text come together. The work explores trust, cooperation, and the unknown through a simple yet uncertain act of collective reading.
